The Council of the College of Early Childhood Educators meets four times per year to oversee the activities of the College in regulating the profession in the public interest.
Council held its third meeting for the 2018-2019 fiscal year on March 27-28, 2019. Highlights of that meeting are below.

Council reviewed the College’s progress towards the objectives for year one of the 2018-2021 Strategic Plan.
Fair Registration Practices Report
Council received a report regarding the 2018 Fair Registration Practices Report to the Office of the Fairness Commissioner, which was submitted by the College in March 2019.
New Practice Guideline
Council approved a new Practice Guideline on Inclusion of Children with Disabilities. It will be published in the spring.
Submissions to Government

Election in Districts 5 & 7
The Election Committee met on February 11, 2019 and declared 11 candidates eligible to stand for election. The voting period opened on March 18, 2019 and closed on April 17, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
