The annual report for the College’s fiscal year of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 has been published online.
Why is an annual report important?
The annual report provides us with the opportunity to tell the story of that particular fiscal year through highlighting the objectives and achievements Council and College staff achieved. It also tells readers about our mandate of protecting children and their families through governance and regulation of the profession of early childhood education. The annual report also includes the College’s audited financial statements.
Leading together in early learning and care
The theme for this year’s annual report speaks to what we do as an organization to govern and regulate RECEs, and what we strive for as we set the bar for the profession of early childhood education. It’s also a nod to the RECEs; each one is a leader in their own practice and, through continuing competence, RECEs have the resources to provide the best in early learning and care.
2018-19 noteworthy highlights
Under each of the College’s strategic objectives, the annual report includes the achievements under those objectives. Some of those objectives include:
- Launching My College Account
- Ninety-eight percent of members confirmed their compliance with the Continuous Professional Learning program
- Members serving as Subject Matter Advisors contributed to projects like the #StandardsinPractice campaign and the Practice Guideline on Inclusion of Children with Disabilities, as well as the Practice Guideline on Professionalism
Where can I find the annual report?
It was a successful year for the College and we continue to work to fulfill our mandate of regulating and governing the profession of early childhood education in the public interest. We are committed to the work we do to protect children and their families while continuing to build a strong, accountable and trustworthy profession that members can also be proud of as we lead together in early learning and care.
